Author | Western Historian
A museum can preserve the hat.
A story preserves the man who wore it.
The men, women, and animal athletes whose grit, sacrifice, and determination shaped modern professional bull riding deserve to be remembered as more than champions, stock contractors, or legends.
They deserve to be remembered as people.
Through years of interviews, archival research, and firsthand accounts, I work to preserve the voices, character, friendships, and legacy of a generation whose way of life is quickly passing from memory.
Every interview, every photograph, every correction, every forgotten memory shared over a cup of coffee or a phone call has helped preserve an important chapter in the history of modern rodeo.
With Gratitude
I am deeply grateful to the men and women who have trusted me with their stories.

The Official Biography of Bodacious
Master of Disaster
For more than three decades, Bodacious has remained one of the most recognizable bulls in the history of professional bull riding.
But this is not simply the story of a legendary bucking bull.
It is the story of the men whose lives shaped one of the greatest eras in Western sports.
Built from years of interviews, archival research, and firsthand accounts, Bodacious: Master of Disaster preserves the voices of the people who lived that history before they are lost to time.

In Development
While Bodacious is my current work, I am also developing future narrative nonfiction projects and collaborating with some of the most respected figures in Western sports.
Because every legend has a first name—and every story deserves to be remembered.
As new projects are officially announced, I'll share more here.
